SICILIA VII – FINAL
After spending the next day lounging at the beach, eating arancini and watching an old lady drive into an old man on a vespa, we drove back to our budget hotel in Palermo. This time we actually got a balcony and the MTV worked though. We stayed two nights and were lucky enough to catch the annual religious-festival-parade thing through the streets. Lots of horses (not the ones they eat), colourful characters and of course a huge firework display at the end. We noticed Purple is an extremely popular colour in Palermo. Anyway this is the last of our eight days in Sicily. It’s a beautiful Island full of friendly people. We swam at the beach every day and ate like kings for next to nothing. Didn’t eat bbq’d lung or intestine but maybe next time. Ciao!
